Use Application Context to integrate with ServiceNow CMDB, allowing Snyk to automate the collection of essential context, including asset type, ownership, and lifecycle.This provides broader access to resources and services in an application. Use it to:

Use the application context that can be leveraged across Snyk to classify repositories, set Asset policier, or filter reports to achieve achieve a deeper understanding of your application's security posture.

Prerequisites
  • A Snyk Account (with Snyk admin - group level access to integrations)
  • ServiceNow CMDB: Access to System Definition table and identify field names within table
  • Supported Field Types: Text, Reference Field, Field must exist in CMDB that contains a URL to the related repository
How it Works
  • The data gathered by Snyk from ServiceNow CMDB will be correlated with the Repository Assets.
  • The integration uses basic authentication and suggests enabling the "Web service access only" option for Service Accounts.
